Kelcey Foster is a photographer from Syracuse, New York, whose work explores human connection, the beauty of everyday life and the moments that often go unnoticed. With a degree in photography and 15 years of experience as a professional photographer, she has developed an approach rooted in authenticity, presence and the art of observation.
In 2025, Kelcey stepped away from her established photography business to serve as a humanitarian volunteer in rural Togo, West Africa, where she lived for over a year and immersed herself in the rhythms, relationships, and culture of village life. This experience deepened her appreciation for the stories held within ordinary moments and inspired a photographic collection celebrating the vibrancy, individuality and the shared humanity of the people she grew to love.
Every photograph in this collection was captured on an iPhone 14, reflecting Kelcey’s belief that meaningful photography is not defined by expensive equipment, but by the ability to be present, connect with others, and recognize the extraordinary within the ordinary. Her work invites viewers to look beyond familiar narratives, approach the world with curiosity, and discover the beauty in lives and experiences different from their own.
Kelcey currently lives in Upstate New York, where the experiences and perspectives she gained in Togo continue to shape her life and work.
